School is out, Pizza and crazy Weather is in
Thunderstorm season!
We hope everyone is staying as dry as possible during this storm season. Navigating this wild and wacky weather can be difficult. here's a few tips that may help in your stores

Manage delivery times with customers, and communicate with your team throughout the shift

Keeping tabs on your QCC truck order and staying on top of possible delays and inventory levels
-
Ensure your delivery drivers are staying safe on the roads
-
A good storm at the right time can bring business, on the heavy days Thur-Sun, try to schedule a few instore or drivers in early if able!

Dates to Remember
HOT, Humid, and a few tips to manage
The south is known for mountains, , football, and HUMIDITY. Temps are rising outside and there are a few things each store can do to help manage the heat this year. We do not want to intentionally add heat to the store for no reason.

Do NOT turn on any ovens or oven hood until 15 minutes before open unless you have a plan ahead order.
-
Only use 1 oven until you absolutely need another oven. If you do need a second oven on, try to limit the usage to only during peak rush/high product hours.

Do not turn on heating racks until needed. These heaters put out a ton of heat and WILL HEAT THE STORE UP QUICKLY.

When arriving at the store, turn thermostat down to 68 if it isn’t already set there and try to get the store as cool as possible. Make sure your oven hood is always turned off the night before as this prevents the store from cooling down properly.

Do not leave drive thru window or any front/back doors open as the oven hood will pull in a lot of heat from the outside.

New Perfect Delivery Training Charts!
In some stores across our franchise, you may have seen or noticed some new charts popping up. We are rolling out new training charts for every location. These are a guide to keep track of how well-trained each employee is in each station. This is to help implement better standards, tracking development, a tool for GM's in the onboarding, and also fun competition!

The scoring begins at level 0 and caps at level 3. There are requirements for each level and are scored primarily by the GM or Area Director. We are focusing on accuracy and quality, not speed. This will help in many areas across stores, especially with cross-training, and giving clear paths of promotion/requirements for employees.
Throughout the next month to two months, managers will begin scoring of all employees to fill out the chart!

Pizzzaaaa Roundup! Has anyone else been binge watching all of the Toy Story movies because of this promo? Anyways, the Toy Story 5 collaboration and promotion have been a great success so far. Customers are absolutely raving about the personal pizzas and the new exclusive boxes. Social media is exploding over the Toy Story theme! With one Papa John's location transforming to a Pizza Planet for the promotion!
Tips to have you go to Infinity and Beyond!

The Toy Story 5 boxes are used for all 10-inch products, including pizzas/bread sides and larger chicken piece counts.

Make sure to prep the personal pizza dough upon receiving your truck order

Ensure all personal pizzas are following the 1/2 inch sauce border and also proper topping portioning

And of course, all Toy Story personal pizzas receive a Rootin' Tootin' Dipping Sauce Cup

ALl ABout the Quality
Awesome job to the following stores for leading product quality! This is based off the AI system/camera right above every cut station. When a box is closed. AI technology rewinds the clock a second or two to capture a picture of the product and grade each pizza as a pass or fail. The key components are crust size and roundness (Looking for 1" crust), cheese distribution (no red edges or spots of missing cheese), and topping distribution. It counts the pepperoni so using the right amount every time. It takes everyone on the same page and everyone doing their part to produce high scores.

Some of our best recruits come from our successful existing team members. Did you know you can earn an additional $200.00 for each person you help bring on board to Perfect Delivery? The recruit must be made known to the GM before hiring and GM will record on the date of their onboarding. After 90 days of employment, you will receive $100 and after 120 days, you will receive another $100. New employee must also average a minimum of 15 hours per week.

Need extra cash for tuition or books for college? PDI is here to help. We award up to 2000$ annual scholarships to college employees.
Qualified Employees receive up to 2000$ in scholarship money for each full year of work at Papa John's.

If you are full time and at least the age of 21 years old. You are eligible to become a part of our 401K Retirement Savings Plan. 401K are one of the best investments and return out there. Perfect Delivery matches dollar for dollar on the first 3% you save and 50 cents to the dollar on %'s 4 and 5. These funds can also be pre-taxed. It is highly recommended to invest 5% of your earnings and Perfect Delivery will contribute another 4%. Week after Week, month after month, this will accrue to larger funds. All is invested in the markets to help you earn additional interest.
