Our Spartanburg Area Director and Pleasantburg Gm were just recently married and even had their very own perfect Delivery Reception at one of our GM meetings.

One night in 1998 brought this couple together. Sandra actually trained our operating director, Brandon jackson at store 545 all those years ago!

Current Promotion: the Pantastic Pizza comeback and a look into our next Period Promo

Our new Pan Pizza has been in full swing for a little over a month now and results are looking PANtastic!!! (sorry, I had to throw that pun in there) Executing this product is not easy! As long as you follow the proper procedures and communicate to your team then acing it is no problem at all!  You could say this promo is really panning out for Papa Johns! (sorry again, the jokes will always be cheesy)

Tips for the Pan Pizza

  • For storage, make space for a dedicated rack in your walk-in cooler. And remember with the cheese cases being upped to twenty pounds, you can order slightly less on your QCC orders to accommodate the room for the Pan Crusts.

  • Saucing the Pan Pizza to the very edge of the crust is the biggest make or break for this pizza! it directly affects the bake and cheese distribution. Always continue to train and coach your team as often as possible.

*Take a look at the video attached for more tips*

first Gm meetings of the year

IMG_2941.jpeg

Every month, our Operations Team gather up their GMS for a meeting in the upstate to go over monthly numbers, goals, initiatives updates, and new procedures and products

For our January meeting, we had our 2025 year in review consisting of End-of-Year ops audit rankings, final sales, and our 2026 goals for our stores. We also discussed during January about the ice and snow storms that blew through and how to handle them. Thank you to all the stores that opened during those days!

For February, we discussed our upcoming Serv Safe classes for GMs, upcoming GM evaluations, and had a break-out sessions to drum up ideas to ease drive-thru and front counter operations during peak dinner rush hours.

We are also gathering up our first few managers to start our first “Train the Trainers” session at our Pleasantburg store. This is to teach current shift leaders and assistant managers certain things for them to learn and carry with them at their stores.

Store 1164 w/ 5:47 Min!

Top Out the Door (OTD) Stores of the Month

Based on Focus System Data. Stores that average 18 or less OTD are doing a great job meeting the goal of having deliveries in the hands of customers in 35 minutes from ordering.

Additional tip for shift leads and GMS for Spring months:  The Springtime change is on the way; with this change dinner rushes will change as well. Business will be spread out further and will pick up closer to sunset. Move your scheduled in times back an hour or two to keep those drivers/in stores later into the night

ALl ABout the Quality

Awesome job to the following stores for leading product quality in February! This is based off the AI system/camera right above every cut station. When a box is closed. AI technology rewinds the clock a second or two to capture a picture of the product and grade each pizza as a pass or fail. The key components are crust size and roundness (Looking for 1" crust), cheese distribution (no red edges or spots of missing cheese), and topping distribution. It counts the pepperoni so using the right amount every time. It takes everyone on the same page and everyone doing their part to produce high scores. The national PJ average is 63%

For the tip of the month, check out the video to the right on a tip for making pepperoni pizzas:
